Climbing a mountain.

A boy lived alone. He was not old, nor was he young. Soon before our story starts, this boys parents were taken from him. A day out turned into a funeral before the boy could figure out what was going on. He took walks around his town often. About half way through his walk each day, he saw a girl. She was the most beautiful girl the boy had ever seen, but why would she talk to him? He is nothing but an orphan, and so he kept to himself. On his walk one day the girl stopped him.
"I notice you walk this way every day, and I must ask... Why?" she to him.
"Well... I like to take walks so I can see the towns beauty. It reminds me that there are some things that are still worth something in this world." The boy replied while looking out at the setting sun.
"That's lovely." the girl said lightly.
"You know, it's not just the towns beauty I like to see on my walks... Yours out does even the setting sun behind you."
The girl chuckled.
"Well then I expect you to be coming by more then once a day, if my beauty is really all you say it is."
"Of course! You're more beautiful then the first flower blossom!" the boy exclaimed.
The girl smiled, almost shyly, and walked into her house. The boy was so happy with his encounter he ran the rest of the way to his house. He didn't want to see the beauty of the city, he didn't want to see anything that may wipe her smile out of his memory.
The next day he went for a walk early in the morning just as the sun was rising. As he passed her house he paused. Even the house she lived in seemed to have a radiant glow about it. He smiled a toothy smile and went on his way. He got home, but couldn't sit still, she was in his mind. He decided to take a quick run, just up the mountain and back. He reached the top of the mountain and peered across the town. It was beautiful all his joys seemed ten fold up here. Even a little cave behind him, this was the perfect place. He layed down to look into the sky and ponder. He couldn't stop smiling, that girl would not leave his thoughts. He didn't even know her name, but her beauty was even more then the most beautiful rose. That's when he decided that she would be his rose. He rose to his feet at once and ran down the mountain, he needed to collect some money from his savings. He reached his house and ran inside to some of the money he had been saving. It was almost time for his walk, and he had just gotten to the flower shop before it closed. he ordered a dozen roses, with a card, and was on his way. He set off on his usual walk, as he approached roses house he saw her walking toward him. She flashed her smile, that smile that was the most beautiful thing in the world. He handed her the roses and said,
"I know you may not like them... But I saw them and just thought of you."
"I love them!" she gasped, as she took the roses. "They're so beautiful! Thank you so much... Oh, I'm so embarassed we haven't even been introduced. My apologies, my name is Sarah."
"I'm justin." He replied with his toothy smile. There was the scent of rain in the air, and he heard thunder in the distance.
"I'm sorry. I wish I could stay, but I need to beat the rain home." He told her sadly.
"That's alright, I'd like to put these flowers in water quickly. Good-bye" she said happily and ran into her house excitedly.
"Good-bye, my rose." he whispered.
He only made it half way home before the rain started, by the time he was there it was a down pour. He walked into his house, and grabbed a towel to dry himself off with. He changed his clothes and layed in his bed. She was all he could think about still. He was glad. She wasn't perfect, she was perfect for him. He smiled and his happiness lulled him to sleep, one filled with dreams of her, their perfect life. He was woken up by a quick set of knocks, rapping on his door. He sat up quickly, and sprinted to the door. He swung it open, and there she was in the rain, soaked head to toe.
"I'm sorry to disturb you, especially in such dreadful weather, but I read your card and.. and... Of course I'll be your rose!!" She said excitedly, and kissed him. The boy hadn't been expecting this, and it happened very quickly. He didn't know how to react and his body froze, all but his heart which began to beat rapidly. She released him, and smiled. He smiled bigger then he could remember ever smiling before.
They began to spend more and more time together. A perfect match, they talked for hours, hardly taking breaths for air. They'd lay under the stars together talking about anything that would pop into their minds. He was happier then he had been since his parents died. She was his rose, she was his everything. They saw eachother every day, greeted with a kiss and an extended embrace, they never seemed to be far from one another.
One night after he had walked her home, he layed in his bed. He pondered about her. He decided to get a clear thought he'd go to his spot on the mountain. He did, and he layed under the stars. As he did he considered his feelings. They could only be described as love. He could find no other way to explain it. He was in love with her, and he needed to tell her... He needed to tell her now. He ran to the flower shop once more. A single rose, and a card. In the card he wrote:
"Sarah, my rose, I love you more then the world. I need you with me, and I know that I have you. You're my happiness, my world, my life! I love you so much!"
He ran to give her the rose, as he approached her house he noticed to silhouettes talking. He slowed to a walk and as he got closer he realized it was his sarah. She was talking to someone. He couldn't make out what they were saying, but as he approached, they kissed. He was stunned... He merely muttered,
"S-Sarah?"
She turned quickly.
"J-Justin! Oh... This.. I'm so sor..." She began, but Justin dropped the rose, as hit fell the rain started out of what seemed like nowhere. Justin was walking away. He couldn't believe what he'd seen. His sarah, his rose! Whoever that guy was... He had taken his rose.. His world... His happiness. The world again, destiny, had taken the only thing he loved. He passed his house without a glance. He wasn't angry, he wasn't sad, sad could not describe this emotion. He was sick, his head hurt. He felt like he couldn't move, but on he walked, up the mountain. He reached his point, and he fell. He didn't want to move. All he could see were his own tears, which seemed to merge with the rain. He flipped to his back, and pondered. He thought through the whole night, not sleeping for even a second. Maybe... Just maybe.. He would be alright. He had heard of love, the first was always the hardest. Someday, he would find a girl. A girl he could call his own, one who would make him truly happy, and that he would make truly happy. This thought allowed enough stability in his mind to enable sleep. As he slept, he dreamt. This new girl, she was his wife. They had children, he was happy, so happy. But soon, she began to talk of his selfishness, then she left, the kids going with her. He awoke in a sweat. He thought once more as the sun set. Why had he dreamed this? As the last rays of the sun fell he realized what he should have. The world, whoever was in charge. His god, had a sick sense of humor. To give one all he could desire, and take it away without warning. He would do this not once, but often during a lifespan. All that makes you happy will be taken away. He thought this over. Then crawled to the edge of the mountain looking down over it's large face, looking to the very bottom, and pondered the unthinkable.

A story ran in my head, it refused to let me sleep until it was told.

A boy ran into the woods one day. He ran to the darkest depths the forest could provide. He had no business in the woods this day, he merely wanted to be alone and to see if anyone cared to look for him. When he was in the shade of the trees he layed against a tree. He waited, thinking. The sun began to disappear, and still not a single call of his name had been heard. The moon rose and none had come looking. He rose to his feet, disappointed, and began to walk deeper into the forest. Obviously he would not be missed. He walked until the moon light no longer shone through the tree tops, then layed down in the grass. He thought of the village he had left, but only one could come to mind. That girl. He'd played games with her before, but now it is all he could think of. It was her beautiful face that popped into his mind time and time again. Her perfect smile. He knew why, there was no doubt in his mind, he loved this girl. However not even she cared to look for him.
"If I'm nothing in the eyes of the ones close to me, then what is my life really worth?" he thought.
The answer is one he didn't like. Tears started to roll down the side of his face. And still the only thought was her shining face. He wished she knew how he loved her. It didn't matter, a girl like her would never have such feelings for such a plain boy.
"Why.." he asked the darkness. "Why is the world in my dreams so perfect? Why must I awake into this dreary world with all the sadness. The only thing I want is you. The only thing I want is the most unachievable thing in the world. I don't want a perfect world. I just want you in my arms."
The thought of her in his arms gave him the sweetest feeling someone could have. A feeling good enough to provide him with sleep, he got swept away in the darkness.
He dreamt. He dreamt of her. Her in his arms. She told him she loved him, that if he would stay with her forever she needed nothing else to be happy. He replied with a simple kiss. But he awoke. He looked around trying to find what had become of his luv, she was in his arms but a moment ago. Alas it was only a dream. As he realized this he lost the happiness that had just belonged to him.
"Why? I do not wish to dream such dreams! This false happiness, what good does it do me?" he yelled angrily at the dark trees. He began sobbing uncontrollably. He felt as though he could not live without her, she was all that mattered. How could a person have feelings this strong. It wasn't fair, none should be put in such a pain. He began to walk back to the village, feeling the worthlessness of his life show on his face. The tears didn't stop, not even after the hours it took to slowly walk through the forest. He walked through the door of his home. His parents sat at the table eating their breakfast. They said nothing. He was ok with this. He continued up to his room and fell to his bed, exhausted he let his pillow carry him away.
Her face, her smile. Her perfection. It was amazing. Until he awoke once more.
"I would give anything, to rid myself of these torturous dreams!" the boy yelled into his pillow, his voice muffled by it.
Suddenly, the boy heard a voice, as if from nowhere.
"I can rid you of these dreams." it said.
"Anything, I'll give you anything if you speak the truth." he replied
"I merely wish to give you a gift with it."
"I accept!"
"I take your dreams away from you, and in return, you will remain as you are now forever." upon saying this the voice disappated.
The boy soon awoke. It was nothing but a dream, another a dream. He layed in his bed for the entire day, not getting up more then a few times. And when the night came, he slept. When he awoke in the morning he noticed he had no dream. A great contentness covered his body. This carried on for about a week. Soon the boy realized that his dreams were more then just torturous. They had given him so much pain, but it was all he had of her. Now he felt a pain much worse. At least before he had a dream world to escape to, where she was his. Now there was nothing to mask the pain of her seeing him as nothing more then another villager. He fled to the forest once again, maybe sleeping there again would return her to him. But he had no such luck. As he layed there, in the black forest he realized that he led an empty existence. He had no purpose, and none to care for him. As he knew these to be truths he made himself a promise, to not stand again until someone came to look for him. With this thought he fell into his eternal slumber, never dreaming, and never to awaken. None came to look for him, the boy the village never missed.

Written at 3 A.M. It seemed like a good Idea at the time.

The farm boy is never really appreciated, until that one moment that the wind catches his hair in that perfect way, and the princess falls in love with him. But the one who is really not appreciated is The Wind.
The Wind howls and moans with the pain of its loneliness, and none listen. It throws fits to get atention, hurling trees and debris everywhere. Alas it ends in futility. But once long ago there was a boy who heard The Winds pleas and responded.
"Wind why do you cry this way?" The boy asked
"Because I am alone." The Wind replied
"You are not alone, you've got many around you"
"Yes, but none to be called friend."
"But what of the clouds you gently push across the clear blue sky, and the trees whose leaves you sway ever so tenderly? Can neither be called friend?" The boy inquired.
"Alas the clouds wish not to be bothered, and the trees want not to be disturbed. I wish I could not exist, then I would no longer be called nuiscance." The Wind howled with sadness.
"Nay!" The boy called. "I wish you would stay! I will be your friend. I may not be much, but I will always provide you with someone who will listen."
"You? You would befriend such a nuiscance?"
"I befriend no nuiscance, but someone who can be near when I feel so alone."
The Wind thought this over.
"I would be pleased to call you friend." The Wind finally replied.
And as time passed The Wind and the boyu continued to be friends and keep one another company in the loneliest of times. Until one night the boy became ill, and could no longer speak with The Wind. The Wind howled, hoping he would be well soon. But the time dragged on, not even those who claimed divinity could cure the boy. The Wind began to howl and moan in his sadness once more. To his surprise, the wind heard a voice respond.
"Why do you weep so, Dear Wind?" the girls voice asked.
"I have but one friend, and he no longer hears me." The Wind responded.
"Why can he no longer hear you?" The girl asked tenderly.
"I know not. Only that he is ill, and bed ridden."
"Oh my! That's awful. I am sorry wind... May I see him?" The girl asked.
"Yes." The Wind replied and showed her the way to the boys house.
The girl walked to the boys side and gently asked.
"How may I aid you?"
The boy seemed confused.
"I do not believe you can, I apologize for wasting your time." He replied
"You have not wasted my time. I merely came to ask why you no longer speak with The Wind. Surely you still hear him."
The boy held his tongue a moment before speaking.
"Yes, I still hear THe Wind. But the wind cannot fill what I feel in my heart. I felt so lonely, even when The Wind and I spoke. I knew not what to do, and quickly lost hope to feel happiness." The boy said, as his face filled with shame.
The girl thought for a moment before standing the boy up.
"Come with me." She said.
The boy followed her outside, where she pointed to the moon.
"So few realize the moons beauty. Yet it continues to light our nights. The stars continue to come out with the moon as well, that is because they love it." The girl said, then stood on her toes and gave the boy a kiss. "I'll be your star" she said. "I love you."
The boy held the girl in his arms, and his heart no longer felt lonely.
"I'm so sorry Wind." The boy said. "Can you ever forgive me?"
"There is nothing to be forgiven my friend." The Wind said happily.
The wind blew perfectly through both of their hair.
"Thank you Wind. And I'll never leave you again" The boy promised.
And he never did.

creativity and trix.

I'm posting cause of a dare. no other reason. I'm bored! <---- (how I'm feeling). that meets the requirements, but because i was bored while waiting for an hour in the cold i got creative and wrote two exceptionally terrible poems that i decided i'm going to post. For your displeasure I present: Messy

Clouds on fire
Voice in my ear
You in my heart
A single tear
The mountains sang
The Flag pole rang
My cell phone buzzed
and my eye sight fuzzed
We were here once
So very long ago
In a lullaby
I loved you so
Now you're gone
We're apart once more
Never to be whole again.
I sit here and I think of you.

AND

Mind Games

The Darkness came
I saw your figure
I blinked once
It all went red
Now here I am
With you once more
You're so very cold
You seem nearly dead
I felt your sting
For far too long
Your face so bold
What's that you said?
Just a break
Not forever
I was sold
With you in my head
Now you see
We will never be
As you once told
Your remains I shred.

Obviously not based on actual events, that's what comes from boredom, creativity, a nasty headache, and waiting for an hour in the cold.

P.S. A dare won't work again.
